A bit about the job:

In this varied and exciting role, you will be exposed to the different markets and functions across Aviva. Not only will you assist in oversighting, managing, and reporting the Group wide risks to the various forums and Boards, but you will also support the design and implementation of the risk management and risk appetite frameworks. Risk doesn’t have to be complicated, and you will be responsible for producing clear, accessible materials and communications.

Yes, you will carry out risk assessments within our existing frameworks and follow up on any actions that needs to be taken. But the risks of today are not the same as the risks of tomorrow. We must evolve and so you will also support with horizon scanning and changes to our risk frameworks, reflecting the fact that our internal and external environment changes as well. Evolution also means that we must continuously improve our process, systems, and data – you will be tasked with seeking out areas where we can work smarter, embracing analytics, automation, and digitisation.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strategic mindset and forward thinker

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience working in a risk analysis type of role - an ability to join the dots between risk management and Aviva’s strategy

  • Solid prioritisation and organisation skills

  • Passionate about building relationships across the business

  • Salary – national: circa £60,000 – London: circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
