A bit about the job:

This role will include managing workload effectively, communicating with wider business areas and removing blockages that are impacting the team. You will provide support and coaching to build capability and develop people to be the best they can be. The role holders will act as a role model for Aviva values in action and support a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

You will support the team to work with the relevant business areas to ensure any upheld complaints get the appropriate resolution, with the appropriate business sign off and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the Complaints Team and wider Complaints Function. Positively influence and support peers to challenge and drive change. You will coach our Complaint Handlers to be the best they can be, supporting their development and progression and be responsible for day-to-day leadership of the people in the team, ensuring management of absence and performance is kept up to date.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team, including experience in coaching and development support

  • Health or Protection experience is strongly desired

  • Effective problem solving and solution delivery

  • Analytical skills and ability to interpret multiple / wide ranging data sets

  • Effective decision making ability
