Are you someone with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in successfully managing all aspects of a complex Motor portfolio?

We are currently recruiting for a Motor Portfolio Manager for our Commercial Insurance business in the London and South East Region.

A bit about the job:

As a Regional Motor Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of the Region’s Commercial Motor business plan. You will be a subject matter expert expected to find solutions to complex problems and be capable of creating non-standard insurance solutions. You will support the teams in winning and retaining business through coaching, training, and technical referral sign offs utilising your high technical underwriting license. You will oversee the quality of the business that is being written and ensure the technical capability is developed to keep pace with growth and the market opportunity.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in leadership, coaching and mentoring staff and managing underwriting accounts

• Technical Motor Underwriting expertise and portfolio Management

• Experience in developing strategic contacts and relationships across the market

• Experience in managing complex non-standard underwriting arrangements

• Excellent understanding of the insurance industry with a broad knowledge of external regulators
